Handmade Summer Skirt Number Seven

This skirt, summer skirt number seven, is just fun!
I made it out of Simplicity Pattern 2606. I used cotton fabric for the skirt and the hem and some green ric-rac too. The fabric is a fun little forest design. I wasn’t sure about wearing this one to work because it looks sort of playful, rather than professional, but when wear it I got a lot of compliments. I think I’ll wear this one more when it gets cooler out … although the trees are green in the design, it reminds me of fall!
I paired the skirt with a white polo shirt and a light green sweater I already had, which matched perfectly.
{Oy, the wrinkles! It drives me mad to see them but not mad enough to re-shoot my pictures!}
